Nearly a year and a half ago, Edward Jones had a font problem that was part design, part intellectual property, part business value, we set sail on the course to create a custom font family. But along the way we stumbled across even more — the value of an incredible partnership, more design flexibility and more accessibility. The outcome was a merging of design, business and beautiful typography solutions with a little help from our friends. Enter XYZ Type.

Join Edward Jones and XYZ type as we present a look behind the scenes at our process, partnership and the product of this design story — and maybe even get a taste and a few tips on how design and business can work together in harmony and help each other along the way.

Agenda (~1hr, Q&A session pending total time allotment):
Pt 1 - The in-house agency story - Charlie Nowell - 10-15 mins
• The business + design problem > the solution.
• Finding the right partners — in and out of house.
• Big projects don't need to be major pains.
Pt 2 - The foundry and design story - Ben Kiel & Jessy Ragan (TBD) - 20-30 mins
• The creative brief, the inspiration and the process.
• The work and final output.
• Making the details count and the value that goes beyond just 'great design.'
