Join us for a special opening reception and engaging roundtable discussion on the history and impact of DIY printed matter in St. Louis, held in conjunction with our Copy-Machine & DIY-Print Zine/Poster Show, DESIGNING THE UNDERGROUND. The exhibition is curated by Kellen Wright, The Luminary's Gallery Manager and a practicing artist, who brings their deep connection to St. Louis's vibrant print culture to this exciting showcase.This conversation will bring together local artists, designers, and contributors featured in the exhibition to explore the role of zines, posters, and other print media in shaping St. Louis’s creative landscape. Discover the stories behind the prints, discuss the ongoing influence of DIY culture, and connect with the community that continues to drive this vibrant movement.v

The exhibition officially opening on October 11th in our storefront gallery space, will feature an extensive collection of zines and posters gathered from concerts, events, and happenings throughout the city, highlighting the evolution of DIY design and printed matter over the years.

In addition to the exhibition, KNOW/HOW books + print will have a selection of available books and printed matter for sale, and coffee available throughout the day.
